Raja Ampat, known as the Four Kings, is a group of four remote islands that sit off West Papua in Indonesia at the very heart of the coral triangle region.

The pristine beauty of the area both above and below the water is truly unrivalled. Topside are mostly uninhabited islands as far as the eye can see with only the faint glow of a few night lights from small villages on the horizon. Under the water, the variety of marine life can be astounding. The region boasts over 500 species of coral, 1,500 species of fish and 700 species of mollusc, ensuring its place as the epicentre of marine biodiversity. Divers will be enthralled by enormous schools of fish, plus regular sightings of sharks, manta rays and turtles. The region also boasts rare species such as the walking epaulette shark and truly exceptional macro life. Raja Ampat is, quite simply, the best reef diving on earth.
